Exclusive
Pre-Kindergarten  Homeschooling Pod

Amid so much uncertainty with health and safety, waitlisting, and overcrowding; Learning Nest has developed a school setting that is optimal for both parent and student. We recognize the desire of parents who want their child to excel academically and be throughly prepared for the next grade level. We also see the potential for 4 and 5 year-olds in large classroom settings (15-25 students) to be overlooked and lack the exclusive attention they may need in order to be successful.

Learning Nest will be offering small group (4 students max) Kindergarten days in a home pod location. Learn more about Whitney here.

Your child's day will consist of challenging, yet engaging lessons that will have them prepared at the start of Kindergarten. Whitney will facilitate the lessons and activities using our unmatched learning approach of instinctive lesson differentiation and The Creative Curriculum. What will my child learn?

Each enrolled student will have an initial one-on-one session to assess where they stand academically and identify their needs and goals. Each day from there on out, will consist of fun learning activities to help them exceed standards in the following domains: Fine Motor Skills, Social & Emotional Development, Approaches to Play and Learning, Communication, Language and Literacy, and Cognitive Development.

At our core, we are dedicated to fostering an engaging and adaptable learning atmosphere that truly sets us a part. Within our intimate small group setting, we prioritize the delivery of a personalized learning journey for each child, seamlessly woven with the indispensable thread of social interaction.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our approach, where we seamlessly integrate the principles from several acclaimed curriculums, namely High Scope, Creative, and Montessori. By drawing inspiration from these diverse educational philosophies, we meticulously craft a comprehensive and enriching learning experience that goes beyond the conventional, ensuring our students thrive both academically and socially. This dynamic blend empowers us to cultivate a holistic educational environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.

We mainly draw from The Creative Curriculum at Learning Nest. This curriculum focuses on learning for the whole child through the domains listed above. The Creative Curriculum environment supports the development of self-regulation skills and child's ability to function positively. This curriculum meshes well with our program's philosophy with the individualization of instruction to make learning meaningful.

There will be no more than 4 children enrolled in a pod. This makes for an exceptionally rare ratio of 1:4. We specialize in small group learning, and our philosophy of teaching is rooted in differentiated learning for each child's needs.

What is a pod?

Learning Pods came to the forefront at the start of the pandemic. It is a small group of same aged children having school in one home. This makes for a safer and more intimate learning environment for the children. Schools have filled up across the city and we know many parents are being waitlisted for childcare.

This just may be the right solution for you! This is a very unique and exclusive service that Learning Nest has had a two year success rate with. We are ready to connect with new families this year and get your children ready for Kindergarten!

There will be a non-refundable $100 registration fee that covers initial paperwork, your child's file, and supplies.

Class Info

We follow a typical Pre-K schedule/day: 9:00-3:00pm.

A school calendar will be sent out with more details when pods are finalized.
